Hyde firm marks 20 years by powering up future eco leaders

A HYDE insulation firm is marking a special milestone by inspiring the next generation of eco leaders.

Warm Front Ltd, which describes itself as a renewable energy specialist, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in October.

As part of those celebrations, the family-run business – based at Unit 1 on Captain Clarke Road – is collaborating with St Paul’s Catholic Primary School.

Staff at Warm Front Ltd have been teaching youngsters at the Turner Lane school about renewable and non-renewable energy.

They will also be launching a project for the pupils’ ideas of what houses will be like for energy in another 20 years, as well as planting a tree and burying a time capsule at the school.

“We spoke with one of the classes and their amazing eco warriors about the differences between renewable and non-renewable energy, and why choosing renewable is so important for our future,” a spokesperson for Warm Front Ltd said.

“To help bring the topic to life, we gave the class sunflower seeds to grow – just like solar panels, sunflowers turn to face the sun and harness its power.

“We’re so excited to continue our collaboration after the summer holidays, when we’ll be launching a fun competition: what will renewable energy look like in another 20 years?

“We’ll also be planting a tree and burying a time capsule at the school to be opened in 2045 – a gift to the future and a reminder of how far we’ve come.

“As part of our celebrations, we’re proud to give back to the community and help inspire the next generation of eco leaders.”

Since 2005, Warm Front Ltd have installed solar photovoltaic (PV), loft and cavity, and air source heat pumps across the UK.
